Going back to Rome, from my trip to Ischia and Procida, I was in a completely Italian lazy mozzarella relaxed mode, and I had not thought yet about where I would spend the first night back in Rome, it would be fine, “non ti preoccupare”…DO LIKE THE ITALIANS DO.

A little update about Rome, Ischia and Procida
When you haven’t read my first blogs about Rome here is a brief introduction. So I was in Rome, but I necessarily also wanted to go the South of Italy. I actually had wild plans but at the end I left for my safe haven, Ischia and Procida, I just love it there, so relaxed. I would enjoy some Southern days of La Dolce Vita and then go back to Rome.
Ischia and Procida, just a few hours from Rome
My focus in this article is Bellissima Roma, and how some great things got on my way there. But I have to share a few of my photo’s of my trip from Rome to the Ischia and Procida! Ischia and Procida are just to beautiful to ignore them here. If you want to know more about Ischia and Procida have a look at my other blogs.

Back to Rome and the surprises of forgotten phone numbers
When I was on the train from Naples to Rome I send a message to my old and new best friends in Rome and one of them had a phone number somewhere in an old phone, he didn’t used for years, a phone number he had never called, with a name he didn’t remember. He put it in his phone years ago, in case someone would need a room. I was that case,…and for the first time in years he called this number
So while I still was on the train from Naples to Rome I got a message that a room was found. Namely through the unknown phone number of years ago on an old phone. No idea where I would end up but I kind of liked that idea!
Someting about the Rome apartment
During my first days in Rome, one of my Roman friends told me that the apartment of his aunt, also a good friend of mine, would be free soon. Possibly I could stay there later but nobody knew exactly when it would be free. It was all al big surprise and nothing was sure.
Talking about coincidences
What do you think where I ended up that night? I came into a B&B (nobody of my friends knew about) where my room was right in front, but really, really right in front, of the apartment from, the aunt and my friend. From my window I looked at the apartment,.. the windows were at the same level!

Dreaming with ancient Rome around the corner
Traveling all day from boats, taxi’s and trains made me a bit tired but yet I was also excited about all the coincidences and curious what awaits me the next day. With a head full of Italian dreams I fell asleep……and all of this with ancient Rome just around the corner!
